We want a skatepark

This was made back in 2004 and was shown at a public meeting to discuss plans for the future of Muir of Ord.... a small village in the north of Scotland. Great bunch of kids!!! No preparation at all..... I just drove into the village, saw some kids hanging around, told them I was making a video about young people in the village and asked them to show me around and tell me about their village..... -  Brian Anderson

Frack Off

...Other possible areas for development include Caithness, Orkney, the Moray Firth coast and the Inner Hebrides, with the report noting that residents in more sparsely populated areas could be less hostile because of the jobs created... - The Telegraph (29 July 2014)

This is massive news. The Scottish Government has announced that it will be listening to the people of Scotland and saying “No!” to fracking... - Greenpeace (3 Oct 2017)

The Scottish Government banned fracking because a comprehensive set of studies showed it wasn't safe - not for the people, the water, or the environment. Public opinion is behind the ban. But now giant fracking companies are trying to overturn it. They want to take the Scottish Government to court because they'll lose profits if the fracking ban is left in place. But our environment and our safety is too important to sacrifice. - 38 Degrees (8 May 2018)

In our intervention we argue that not only is the ban on fracking lawful, but that the Scottish Government is arguably required to ban fracking in order to meet Scotland’s legally binding climate change commitments. There is simply not enough space in our share of the world’s atmosphere, or within the legally binding targets set out in Scotland's Climate Change Act, to go after new sources of fossil fuels like fracked gas. We also set out the case for the fundamental human right to a healthy and safe environment, and that fracking may breach this. - Friends of the Earth Scotland (29 April 2018)
